Secondary educators of English Learners including teachers, teacher leaders and instructional coaches
In this four-module learning series, participants will learn how to design academically rigorous learning experiences for English Learners while offering them the supports to simultaneously develop language and disciplinary practices.

Course must be taken in sequence. QTEL e-Series: A Pedagogy of Promise for English Learners is a total time commitment of 20 hours and consists of a mix of synchronous and asynchronous activities. Each five-hour module includes 3 hours of asynchronous work (including assigned readings) and a 2 hour synchronous Zoom session.
April/May Session: Wednesdays on April 28, May 5, May 12, May 19, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm PST daily (Full)
May/June Session: Tuesdays on May 4, May 18, June 1, June 15, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm PST daily (Full)
Summer Cohort 1: June 14 – 17, 9:00 am – 11:00 am PST daily
Summer Cohort 2: June 21 – 24, 12:00pm – 2:00pm PST daily (Full)
Summer Cohort 3: July 26 – 29, 9:00 am – 11:00 am PST daily
The cost to attend is $900 per participant. This fee includes all materials for asynchronous and synchronous learning components. Participants will be enrolled in the course via Canvas, where they can access asynchronous learning tasks to complete between sessions.
