Shirley Feldman is a Senior Program Associate with English Learner and Migrant Education Services at WestEd. Ms. Feldman supports educators of English Learners through professional development, classroom coaching, and curriculum design. She leads hands-on professional development institutes for teachers in which they can develop expertise in working with English Learner students to develop content knowledge and language proficiency simultaneously, and she coaches and supports teachers in classrooms as they implement what they have learned. She also designs curriculum that is used in classrooms to engage students in rigorous work as they develop language acquisition through collaboration and quality interactions.
