Name of Presentation: Engaging English Learners in Mathematical Interactions: Channeling Information Flows
Description: In this session, participants will experience and analyze five different engaging types of tasks that will support English Learners in engaging with important mathematical ideas and practices. These tasks draw upon different flows of information to highlight important mathematical relationships while ensuring that English Learners have ways to contribute to the co-construction of mathematical understanding.
