Learn More: Recent studies conducted by the National Research and Development Center to Improve Education for Secondary English Learners have described the extent to which secondary Multilingual Learners have access to core content. Given how important being on-track with a full slate of academic courses can be for high school graduation and other outcomes, state and local agencies should devote resources to ensuring Multilingual Learners have full access and quality outcomes. There are concrete actions that districts can take to review and elevate Multilingual Learner access to courses in math and beyond.
