AMANDA BRADLEY
English Learner Program Associate

Amanda Bradley is an English Learner Program Associate II at WestEd. Amanda works with teachers and school administrators to implement engaging and rigorous lessons that also support the development of English. Her areas of expertise include secondary English instruction, curriculum development, and secondary school leadership.

She spent eight years in a middle school classroom teaching English and Reading. There she learned about the inequities that black and brown students face in the education system. Her experience with Quality Teaching for English Learners (QTEL) began in 2013 as the Dean of Instruction at a newcomer school. She has since deepened her pedagogical knowledge through the apprenticeship process and has been providing quality professional development to educators since 2019. In her last 6 years in public education, she expanded her knowledge of school systems, procedures, and management as an assistant principal in a large urban high school.

She received a B.F.A. in Theatre from Texas Wesleyan University and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Tarleton State University.
