Are you trying to offer English Learners in your schools quality opportunities to learn? Do you want to learn new ways of supporting them as they engage in activity? Does your school or district have classes with students who have a wide range of English proficiencies?

Every year QTEL holds open enrollment professional development institutes for educators focused on the development of educator expertise to engage English Learners and all other students in deep, generative learning.

During our institutes, participants experience and understand powerful models of learning which they are able to turn into school practices that cultivate global competencies and academic development for English Learners and all other students.

2027 QTEL Winter Institutes

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Date: January 11–14, 2027

Time: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm daily*

*For credit, you must attend every day from start to finish.

Course Offerings

*Only available to participants who have attended previous in-person QTEL Building the Base or disciplinary institutes.

Cost

Registration and materials: $2,500 per person for a four-day, in-person institute.

Group rates: Teams of 5 or more participants are $2,000 per person for a four-day, in-person institute.

Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack included daily.

Cancellation Policy

Received on or before: November 30, 2026: 100% of tuition refunded
Received on or before: December 14, 2026: 75% of tuition refunded
Received on or before: December 28, 2026: 50% of tuition refunded
After January 4, 2027: We will not be able to refund tuition.

No-Show Policy

If you fail to show up on the day of the event, you will responsible for 100% of the tuition. By checking the box below, you acknowledge this policy.
