TARGET AUDIENCE
Secondary educators of English Learners including teachers, teacher leaders and instructional coaches.
OVERVIEW
You will work with colleagues to understand theoretically-grounded, evidence-based, and practical approaches to mathematics instruction for English Learners. Each module is designed to bring together individual or small-group reading and discussion together with live, whole-group video sessions that demonstrate powerful learning designs.
Below is a sample overview of central themes across four modules:

Module 1: Developing an Ambitious Vision of Mathematics with English Learners

FORMAT
All modules center on a live session with ample opportunities for you to read, reflect, and apply in depth:

Preparation: You will read theoretical background, analyze video, and online discussions about major themes

Live Video Session: You will experience in synchronous activities as if you were a student to analyze the conditions under which English Learners can participate in powerful learning experiences.

Analysis, application, and reflection: You will engage in deep analysis of ideas, tasks, and pedagogical moves found in the exemplar lesson. You will develop applications to your classroom practice.

COST
The cost to attend is $900 per participant. This fee includes all materials for asynchronous and synchronous learning components. Participants will be enrolled in the course via Canvas, where they can access asynchronous learning tasks to complete between sessions.
