Registration is open for the 2027 QTEL Winter Institutes, taking place January 11–14, 2027, in Washington, D.C.
Join educators and leaders from across the country for an engaging professional learning experience focused on improving outcomes for English and Multilingual Learners. With space limited, we encourage you to make plans now to join us this January.
Choose from two institute offerings:
Leadership in English Learner Education: Designed for site and district leaders who want to deepen their understanding of high-quality instruction for English and Multilingual Learners and strengthen their capacity to lead instructional improvement efforts.
Coaching for QTEL Implementation: Designed for educators who have previously completed a QTEL Building the Base or disciplinary institute and are ready to expand their expertise in instructional coaching and QTEL implementation.
Participants will have opportunities to:
Learn alongside a community of educators committed to excellence in teaching and learning
Strengthen instructional leadership and coaching practices
Engage with research-based approaches that support English and Multilingual Learners
Build connections and exchange ideas with colleagues from across the nation
Refer five or more colleagues and earn institute credit!
Help grow the QTEL community by recommending the Winter Institutes to educators and leaders in neighboring districts. When five or more of the colleagues you refer register and attend, your district will receive one credit toward a future QTEL Institute.
