Navigating COVID-19

Dear Valued Partners, As our communities continue to feel the increased impact of COVID-19, we at the Quality Teaching for English Learners (QTEL) initiative at WestEd, want to share with you what we are doing to help keep our staff and partners safe and healthy. Given the state of emergency in place at the national, state, and local levels, through mid-April, all events, meetings, and professional learning with outside clients and partners (either in our offices or offsite) will be shifted to a virtual platform, postponed, or rescheduled. These are difficult but necessary decisions. We will remain operational and intend to share ideas and content through digital platforms. You can find more information at https://www.qtel.wested.org As of right now we are still actively planning to host our summer institutes in San Francisco and Washington D.C., in July and August. Our goal is to provide a powerful learning opportunity for our partners. However, our first priority is the safety of all staff, attendees, and community. So, we will be closely monitoring the situation and will send you further communications should anything change. All general inquiries can be directed to us through our website contact page. You can also email us directly at qtel@wested.org or call us at 415.615.3314. Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this challenge one day at a time and determine how to best continue serving our communities. Sincerely, The QTEL Team
